PSM-RK-30 monostatic compact radar is used to protect small length boundaries or local perimeter areas where it is not possible or quite hard to use two-position detectors: dead ends, marshy areas, ravines, fence crossing areas, warehouses, tunnels, overpasses, flyovers, ‘blind zones’ of other detection means, gates and wickets, access ways to buildings and facilities, watersides, etc.

PSM-RK-30 compact radar (sensor) can be used as an alarm system whether on open areas or in premises (warehouses, terminals, etc).

Principle of operation: the compact radar has a transmitter and receiver in a single unit. The device has a three-dimensional detection area created by electromagnetic radiation. If an intruder appears in a protected zone, the received signal changes, and alarm triggering is activated. Our compact radar is an advanced device that stands out from all existing sensors due to the use of our narrowband scanning technology, which allows to significantly reduce the number of false alarms and improve the functional and operational characteristics.

Available configurations (Figure 5):

  • The ‘Curtain’ configuration, when the radar is placed horizontally, ideal for a detection of a target moving tangentially to the radar.
  • The ‘Area’ configuration, when the radar is placed vertically, optimised to detect a human moving tangent to plane of detection zone.

PSM-RK-30 compact radar is resistant to such interference as:

  • Movement of non-target small animals or birds within its detection zone
  • Human (vehicle) movement parallel to the axis of the detection zone at a distance of 1 m (2 m) from the optical axis of the detection zone
  • Vehicles/ humans moving tangent to the radar at a distance exceeding the preset range by 75%
  • Inductive interference
  • Precipitation rate of up to 50 mm/h
  • Environmental interference such as movement of grass up to 0.2 m high

PSM-RK-30 contains modern hardware components, protected case with RS-485 output.

PSM-RK-30 monostatic compact radar key features and advantages:

  • Most existing radars operate at high frequencies (24 GHz), which makes them sensitive to environmental changes
  • Most existing radars employ the Doppler effect. Therefore, such devices have lower jamming resistance
  • PSM-RK-30 is immune to suppression by means of electronic warfare
  • Operating humidity range 0 … 100 %
  • Length of detection zone is 0 … 30 m
  • Detects a crawling or rolling intruder if installed on the wall, roof of a building or any other height
  • Adjustment of protection coverage upon installation is not required
  • Snow removal of the protection coverage is not required

  • General Radio Frequency Centre approval is not required, as well as any additional permits to use the frequency band

  • PSM-RK-30 radar performance cannot be affected by other electronic equipment placed nearby.
